Extended Care operates from 3:00 pm to 6:00 PM Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and from 2:00 until 6:00 on Tuesday. Students not picked up by 6:00 will be assessed a late fee of $2.00 a minute.
Students not picked up by 3:20 on full days, or 2:00 on Tuesdays, will be sent to extended care. Students are not allowed to loiter/wait at public stores and restaurants to be picked up. Students are either picked up after school by parents or legal guardians, take the metro home on their own or are in extended care. Students are not allowed to leave the grounds at dismissal time to go to the store and then return to extended care.
There is no extended care on 12:00 dismissal days. Students not picked up promptly at 12:00 pm will be assessed a late fee of $2.00 a minute.
In case of an emergency during the time your child is in Morning or Extended Care, the number to call is202-425-2618. The phone will not be on during regular school hours. The phone is not for regular school business. It is only on during the times of Morning Care (7:00 am – 8:00 am) and Extended Care (3:20pm – 6:00pm)
